AMD 700 chipset series

The AMD 700 chipset series (also called as AMD 7-Series Chipsets) is a set of upcoming chipsets designed by ATI to be sold under the AMD brand and is scheduled to launch between the end of 2007 to the first half of 2008.


The existence of the chipsets was proved on October 2006 through two hardware websites in Chile ^{[1] [2]} and Spain ^[3] which posted the leaked slides of an ATI internal event, "ATI chipset update". In the slides, ATI have shown a series of RD700 series chipset logics. Codenamed RD790, RX790, RS780 and RS740 respectively. A codenamed SB700 southbridge was also mentioned in the event. The 790X (codenamed RD780) chipset was spotted in Computex 2007, exhibited by ASUS ^[4], while the SB750 southbridge was reported by VR-Zone

PS3 price drop ! ! !

According to multiple online reports, PS3 will finally be getting that price drop that has been been whispered about for quite a while.

It all started when Kotaku got a hold of promotional sales flyer that listed PS3 at a wallet-friendly $499 price. But there were still questions as to whether this was special for Circuit City, or an across the board slash.

PS3's new firmware update 1.81 ! ! !

Ps3 has released yet another firmware update, this version is 1.81, this is for improve the picture quality,upgrade 1.81 will fix a few small issues. In 1.80 an option was there to the XMB under settings allowing you to choose between RGB Full and Limited.Basically if you are connecting your PS3 to your TV using an HDMI cable, and if your TV supports RGB full range, the picture quality may be improved when this option is set to Full.

And if you're still doing the old-school PS2 thing, there's still hope for you as

well. Sony states that they're "continually evaluating and improving PS2

software compatibility too."
